Qualification Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as an operator on sites such as an open cut coal mine, a quarry or an open cut metalliferous mine, undertaking a prescribed range of tasks involving known routines and procedures, and taking some responsibility for the quality of work outcomes.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this qualification can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors. Relevant information must be sourced prior to application of the qualification.

RIIWHS202D Enter and work in confined spaces

RIIWHS204D Work safely at heights


Variations can be made to this qualification however an additional cost may occur for selected units of competency.

RPL process may be available to eligible trainees.
